Overlapping peptide libraries are effective for T-cell epitope identification due to short linear peptides from the protein sequence. They're also useful for scanning protein sequences to find linear B-cell epitope. Researchers can divide a protein ( or long peptide sequence) into overlapping fragments of a specified length, with each fragment offset by a certain number of amino acids to create an overlapping peptide library.
